The platform moves beyond traditional software by embedding artificial intelligence directly into the workflow rather than treating it as an external add-on. By housing CRM, portfolio accounting, and tax-loss harvesting within one environment, the joint venture seeks to eliminate the reconciliation bottlenecks that currently drain operational resources at many Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs).
Verapath and GenTrust Unveil VIRA to Consolidate Wealth Management Stacks
Advisory firms have long struggled with fragmented tech stacks, forcing staff to manually reconcile data across disparate CRMs, tax engines, and reporting tools. Verapath and GenTrust aim to end this cycle with the launch of VIRA, an AI-native operating system designed to unify these functions into a single record.

Alec Crawford, CEO of Verapath, emphasized that the system is tailored for entire firm infrastructures, prioritizing regulatory compliance and data governance. The technology draws on a decade of development at GenTrust, where the firm utilized a predecessor of the platform to manage its own advisory business. Jim Besaw, CIO of GenTrust, noted that the system is battle-tested and addresses the industry’s critical need for secure, centralized data control. VIRA is currently available for deployment to wealth management firms seeking to replace their multi-vendor point solutions.
