KanEquip JCB Opens Kansas City Hub to Anchor Regional Growth

When Trane Technologies acquired CSTK and exited the retail equipment market, the future of local JCB representation in Kansas City hung in the balance. KanEquip stepped in to fill the void, securing a new 17,000-square-foot facility and retaining the veteran staff responsible for the brand's local operations.

The expansion centers on a strategic site at 3550 Fairbanks Ave., featuring nine drive-through service bays capable of handling heavy machinery like excavators and wheel loaders. According to Vice President and General Manager Grant Meinhardt, the decision to commit to this territory hinged entirely on the commitment of the former CSTK team. Their willingness to transition to the new ownership group provided the necessary momentum to secure approval from JCB USA.

This new location serves as a vital logistics node for the metro area, positioning the company to supply equipment for high-profile regional projects, including upcoming stadium developments for the Chiefs and Royals. Beyond infrastructure work, the facility aims to support major rental partners such as United Rentals and Sunbelt Rentals. While the team is currently prioritizing shop services, a full retail showroom for parts and merchandise is under construction, with a formal grand opening scheduled for the spring of 2027.
