Branded as 5G Home Minternet, the service leverages T-Mobile’s infrastructure to deliver speeds between 133 and 415 Mbps. While it offers unlimited data, users face network throttling after consuming 1 TB—a tighter threshold than the 1.2 TB limit found on T-Mobile’s own plans. The trade-off for the lower cost is the absence of bundled streaming services and advanced security features common in premium home internet packages.
Mint Mobile Launches 5G Home Internet Starting at $30
Thirty dollars a month sounds like a bargain for home internet, but Mint Mobile’s new 5G service hides that price behind a maze of upfront commitments. To secure the lowest rate, subscribers must bundle the service with an existing phone plan and pay for a full year of coverage in advance.

The pricing structure shifts significantly based on tenure and commitment. While new customers with a Mint phone plan can access the $30 rate, that price jumps to $40 upon renewal unless they commit to a 12-month term. Opting for a six-month plan sets the cost at $35 per month. Those choosing to bypass a Mint phone plan entirely will see their monthly bill increase by an additional $10, complicating the value proposition for households looking for a simple, low-cost connectivity solution.
