The expansion arrives as rental owners and property managers struggle with restricted underwriting and escalating costs. By integrating short-term and long-term rental protections, Corgi aims to secure both physical assets and the continuous stream of rental income. Robert Barlow, EVP of Partnerships, noted that the move addresses daily operational pressures where a single uncovered claim can threaten an entire association's budget.
Corgi Insurance Scales Property and Association Coverage
Property owners and community boards facing a tightening insurance market now have expanded options as San Francisco-based carrier Corgi Insurance broadens its commercial footprint. The firm is scaling its coverage for rental properties, commercial tenants, and homeowners associations to address rising premiums and shrinking capacity within the traditional insurance sector.
For commercial real estate, the company is deploying lease-embedded general liability coverage, allowing tenants to enroll directly through property management ledgers. Meanwhile, homeowners and condominium associations gain access to tailored liability and umbrella policies ranging from $1 million to $5 million. These offerings cover shared infrastructure, from common-area amenities to complex commercial risks, providing a streamlined alternative to navigating fractured insurance markets.
