Hindsait Joins CMS Initiative to Overhaul Prior Authorization
The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has approved Hackensack-based Hindsait for its Health Tech Ecosystem, tasking the firm with streamlining prior authorization workflows. This integration arrives as the agency prepares for the 2027 deadline set by the Interoperability and Prior Authorization Final Rule, aiming to reduce systemic healthcare friction.
Unlike general-purpose generative models, Hindsait’s engine relies on purpose-built clinical models trained on over 100 million real protected health information records. By keeping data within secure, client-controlled environments, the company avoids the unpredictability often associated with black-box AI systems. With over a decade of production experience and HITRUST CSF and SOC 2 Type II certifications, Hindsait now joins a collaborative effort involving payers, providers, and EHR vendors to standardize end-to-end digital workflows before the 2027 federal requirements take full effect.
