Einstein Bros. Bagels Taps Trio of Veterans to Lead Expansion
To support its aggressive goal of opening 300 new bakeries over the next three years, Einstein Bros. Bagels has overhauled its executive suite. CEO Jessica DePetro confirmed the addition of three industry veterans tasked with scaling the brand toward a 1,000-location footprint in a highly competitive $5.8 billion market.
The leadership shift follows a period of consolidation for the chain, which currently operates over 700 locations. As part of the Panera Brands portfolio, Einstein Bros. is positioning itself to capture a larger share of the U.S. breakfast market by emphasizing operational discipline alongside its retail footprint. These appointments signal a transition from a legacy model toward a modernized, data-driven approach designed to scale the business while maintaining the brand's presence in the crowded fast-casual sector.
