Siri AI launches today as a beta for English-language devices, with support for French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish slated for October. Beyond the assistant, iOS 27 introduces the Liquid Glass opacity slider, offering users granular control over UI transparency. The update also refreshes icons across native apps, expands widget sizes, and decouples volume settings for ringtones, alarms, and system notifications.

Hardware improvements vary by platform. iPadOS 27 boosts file transfer speeds to external drives and optimizes network switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
