Southwest Gas Reports Efficiency Gains Following Centuri Spin-Off
Southwest Gas Holdings has published its 2025 sustainability report, marking a strategic pivot as a standalone utility provider. The document details a year of operational shifts, centering on infrastructure modernization and tightened safety protocols across its Arizona, Nevada, and California service territories following the separation of Centuri Holdings.

Environmental initiatives yielded measurable results as the firm hit its 2025 emissions target early, achieving a 33.7% reduction from fleet and facility operations compared to 2015 levels. Technological upgrades to system monitoring and cybersecurity were also completed, alongside the capture of 3.37 million standard cubic feet of natural gas through vacuum and compression tech. CEO Justin Brown emphasized that these performance indicators are tied to the company's core values, which now guide the firm as it manages over two million customer connections. Beyond technical operations, the Southwest Gas Foundation distributed $2.5 million to 362 non-profits, while employees contributed over 4,500 volunteer hours to local community projects.
