ClubMed Lifestyle Group Joins WTTC to Fuel Global Expansion

With a footprint spanning 69 resorts across six continents, ClubMed Lifestyle Group has officially joined the World Travel & Tourism Council as a Global Member. The move signals a strategic push by the Fosun International subsidiary to scale its premium all-inclusive offerings toward a target of 85 locations by 2030.

The company, which serves over 1.5 million guests annually, is currently executing a broad expansion strategy that includes new project signings in markets ranging from China and Italy to Brazil and the U.S. Virgin Islands. This growth relies on an asset-light model, prioritizing integrated vacation destinations and cultural-tourism complexes to diversify its portfolio beyond traditional resort management.

To support this growth, the group is integrating advanced technology into its core operations. In July, Club Med signed a memorandum of cooperation with Microsoft at their Paris headquarters. Co-President Xu Bingbin and Microsoft France CEO Corinne De Bilbao outlined a roadmap focused on AI-driven guest experiences and cloud-native infrastructure. By combining the industry-wide recognition of the WTTC membership with the computational power of their Microsoft partnership, the group aims to modernize its internal operations while rapidly scaling its presence across the Mediterranean, the Alps, and the Caribbean.
