A2Gold Shifts Focus to Eastside Project Following Taylor Drill Campaign

A2Gold Corp. has wrapped up a 4,400-metre reverse-circulation drill program at its Taylor Gold-Silver Project in Nevada, marking the company’s first exploration effort at the site since its acquisition. The drill rig is now moving to the flagship Eastside Project to begin a 3,700-metre campaign at Target Pente.

The Taylor program involved 15 drill holes designed to test priority targets derived from historical geological and geophysical data. While samples have been submitted for laboratory analysis, assay results remain pending. CEO Peter Gianulis noted that the data gathered will be integrated into the company’s broader understanding of the mineralized system at the site.

Attention is now turning to the Eastside Project, where the upcoming work at Target Pente aims to identify high-grade epithermal feeder faults and veins. This strategy reflects a pivot toward locating higher-grade mineralization within the district, rather than focusing solely on bulk-tonnage expansion. The company maintains an extensive land package in the region, with Eastside currently hosting an inferred resource of 1.4 million ounces of gold and 8.8 million ounces of silver.
