The tool emerged from research at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU) and aims to bridge the gap between complex mathematical modeling and practical circuit design. Rather than relying on cloud-based processing that requires external data transfer, Odin operates within a designer’s existing environment. This local execution ensures that proprietary design data and analysis remain protected throughout the optimization cycle.
IC Optimize Launches Odin for Analog Circuit Design
Engineers can now accelerate analog device sizing from days to minutes using Odin, a new optimization tool from IC Optimize. By integrating directly into the Cadence Virtuoso ADE Product Suite, the platform allows design teams to refine performance and power metrics while keeping sensitive intellectual property strictly on-premises.

By joining the Cadence Connections Program, IC Optimize gains official support for its interface, allowing users to visualize stability, sensitivity, and process corners without leaving their familiar workflow. CEO Henrik Dam noted that the software is designed to handle demanding tape-out schedules by balancing advanced optimization algorithms with the specific constraints of real-world PDKs. The solution is available immediately for organizations looking to improve yield and reliability in mixed-signal design.
