The campaign, developed by Affleck’s studio Artists Equity, kicks off with a spot titled "Green Room." In the commercial, Affleck receives a crash course on supplemental insurance from the Aflac Duck and a roster of familiar faces including coaches Nick Saban, Deion Sanders, and Dawn Staley. The collaboration aims to move beyond simple wordplay, using the actor’s involvement to clarify how the company covers financial gaps left by traditional health plans.
Ben Affleck and the Aflac Duck unite in new marketing campaign
After years of pop culture confusion linking his name to the insurance brand, Ben Affleck is finally leaning into the joke. The actor and director has partnered with Aflac to launch a series of commercials that feature him alongside the company’s iconic avian mascot to explain supplemental health coverage.
Artists Equity co-president Brandon Pierce described the partnership as a rare opportunity to capitalize on a long-standing cultural coincidence. Rather than serving as a traditional celebrity spokesperson, Affleck took on a strategic role, directing the spots to ensure the brand’s message remains both educational and entertaining. The campaign is scheduled to debut during College GameDay this Saturday, marking the start of a multi-platform effort to reach consumers through social, digital, and linear channels throughout the coming year.
