Managed Medical Review Organization, Inc. has achieved the Artificial Intelligence in Health Care Accreditation from URAC, marking a shift toward standardized oversight for automated tools. The Novi-based firm spent the past year building a governance framework designed to balance technological integration with strict clinical integrity.
Under these new guidelines, AI will not issue medical necessity determinations or act as an autonomous decision-maker for clinical outcomes. This certification complements MMRO’s long-standing status as an Independent Review Organization, a designation it has maintained for over 15 years.
