Under the proposed deal, White Knight will assume the Public Investment Fund’s existing rights and claims. CEO Scott O’Neil is slated to remain at the helm, overseeing a transition that includes offering equity participation to professional golfers and executive management. The plan hinges on a $100 million direct equity commitment from the PIF, intended to fortify the organization’s balance sheet after roughly $6 billion in initial brand investment.
White Knight Capital Targets LIV Golf Restructuring and Nasdaq Listing
White Knight Capital Corp. has entered advanced negotiations to overhaul LIV Golf Enterprises, aiming to convert PIF sovereign wealth debt into equity. The Wyoming-based firm plans to merge the rebranded LIV Golf 2.0 into a public Nasdaq-listed entity by the 2027 season, backed by a fresh $500 million equity facility.

John Rivers, CEO of White Knight, characterized the move as a shift toward sustainable profitability and long-term shareholder value. The firm intends to leverage this new capital structure to pursue aggressive international expansion, specifically targeting Asian markets through broadcast deals and consumer product lines. While negotiations are underway, no definitive agreement has been finalized, and the proposed merger remains subject to standard closing conditions and market variables.
