Gretchen Koback Pursel Joins Exemplar Luxury Group as People Chief
Gretchen Koback Pursel will take the helm as Chief People Officer for Exemplar Luxury Group on September 28, moving from her previous role at Equinox to oversee human resources for the retail collective that includes Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, and Bergdorf Goodman.
She succeeds Sarah Garber, who is departing after a 15-year tenure. Garber was a central figure during the company’s recent merger integration and financial restructuring. In her new position, Koback Pursel will focus on building a performance-driven environment across the group’s high-end retail banners, tasked with formalizing a strategy that balances individual empowerment with the collective goals of the luxury retailer.
