AtomVie Opens $160 Million Radiopharmaceutical Hub in Hamilton

With a $160 million investment, AtomVie Global Radiopharma has officially opened its new 72,300-square-foot manufacturing facility in Hamilton, Ontario. The site serves as the largest single-site contract development and manufacturing organization facility for radiopharmaceuticals in North America, signaling a tenfold increase in the company's production capacity.

The facility at 10 Aeropark Boulevard is designed to scale production from early-stage clinical development to full commercial manufacturing. By providing customizable space for evolving client needs, the company aims to bridge the gap between laboratory innovation and patient access. This expansion supports AtomVie’s broader mission to deliver precision cancer therapies, building on a history that includes the successful delivery of over 4,400 doses across 28 countries.

AtomVie emerged as a spinout from the McMaster University-based Centre for Probe Development and Commercialization. As the new site ramps up toward full operations, the organization expects to grow its workforce to more than 200 employees by the end of 2026. CEO Bruno Paquin noted that the infrastructure strengthens the firm’s ability to support complex partner pipelines, while Board Chairman Kevin McNeill emphasized that the facility solidifies the company’s role as a commercial-scale leader in the global nuclear medicine sector.
