An 86-year-old patient at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center has become the first person in the United States to receive the Saturn Transseptal Transcatheter Mitral Valve Replacement system. This procedure marks a critical expansion of the CASSINI-US Early Feasibility Study, bringing the company's global clinical experience to 15 treated patients.

This U.S. milestone follows extensive testing in Europe, where the CASSINI-EU study has tracked subjects for over two years. Data from the European cohort shows no procedural mortality and consistent reduction of mitral regurgitation to mild levels in all implanted cases. InnovHeart CEO David J. Wilson noted that these results, combined with the successful U.S. debut, demonstrate the platform's stability and readiness for further clinical evaluation. The Saturn system remains strictly for investigational use as the company continues to collect performance data.
