The new onramp integration aims to simplify the complex journey of account funding, which co-founder Rodri Fernández Touza identifies as the most common point of failure for new finance apps. By embedding Crossmint’s components, developers can maintain a consistent user experience while the platform handles risk-based identity verification, sanctions screening, and AML compliance in real-time.
Crossmint Debuts Global Onramp for Stablecoin Wallets
Fintech users in over 160 countries can now fund stablecoin wallets directly through Apple Pay, Google Pay, or standard bank cards without exiting their applications. Miami-based infrastructure provider Crossmint launched the service to eliminate the high drop-off rates currently plaguing the initial onboarding stage of digital asset adoption.

Crossmint operates as a single counterparty across the entire money movement stack. Within the European Economic Area, the company functions as an authorized Crypto-Asset Service Provider under MiCA and a Payment Institution under PSD2. In other global markets, the firm leverages its own local licenses or partnerships to manage regulatory requirements. Beyond software integration, the company assumes liability for chargebacks and disputes on card transactions, effectively insulating fintech clients from the backend complexities of blockchain finance. The platform currently supports over 40,000 developers and enterprises, including major players like MoneyGram and Wirex.
