Prospera Financial Services Recruits Advisors Sweeney and Palmer

Dallas-based wealth management firm Prospera Financial Services has expanded its national footprint by onboarding independent advisors Patrick Sweeney and John Palmer. The two industry veterans collectively bring $75 million in assets under management to the boutique firm, citing a need for enhanced operational support and personalized growth resources.

Patrick Sweeney, president of the Pittsburgh-based Chartiers Capital Group, joins Prospera with over twenty years of experience, including previous tenures at Merrill Lynch and Wells Fargo Advisors. Joining him is John Palmer, founder of Smithtown-based Palmer Financial, who brings four decades of expertise from his time at Prudential and Wachovia Securities. Both advisors sought out Prospera’s specific model, which prioritizes a 2.5:1 advisor-to-home-office ratio to maintain individualized client care.

Prospera President and COO Tarah Williams highlighted that the firm’s recruitment strategy focuses on professionals who build businesses intended for long-term endurance. Despite the firm’s current $30 billion in assets under management, leadership maintains that the transition to advanced AI-driven solutions will not disrupt the boutique, service-heavy environment that attracted both Sweeney and Palmer to the platform.
