During the 26th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State, Chinese President Xi Jinping outlined a vision centered on shared prosperity, emphasizing the "Shanghai Spirit" of mutual benefit and civilizational respect. This evolution is already visible on the ground. The China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, which broke ground in late 2024, serves as a cornerstone of this strategy, aiming to bridge Central Asia with the broader Eurasian continent to streamline trade.
Economic cooperation is deepening through institutional frameworks rather than isolated bilateral agreements. In Bishkek, a recent trade conference yielded 193 deals valued at approximately 1.74 billion yuan, while digital initiatives like the Tianjin-based platform have initiated 29 cross-border projects in aerospace and computing. China remains the primary financial anchor for this expansion, with accumulated investments in SCO member states surpassing $84 billion by July 2025.
