Karyopharm Grants Inducement Equity to New Hires

Two new employees at Karyopharm Therapeutics received a total of 1,850 restricted stock units on August 31, 2026. The Newton-based company issued these awards as material inducements for the recruits to join the firm, adhering to the requirements set forth in Nasdaq Listing Rule 5635(c)(4).

The restricted stock units follow a three-year vesting schedule. One-third of the shares will vest on each of the three consecutive anniversaries following the grant date. This arrangement remains contingent upon the recipients maintaining their status as service providers or employees at Karyopharm through each designated vesting date.

Karyopharm, which focuses on nuclear export inhibition for cancer treatment, continues to utilize its 2022 Inducement Stock Incentive Plan to attract talent. The company currently markets XPOVIO, a first-in-class exportin 1 inhibitor, for patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma. Beyond its existing commercial portfolio, the firm is researching the application of selinexor and next-generation compounds like eltanexor for various hematological malignancies and myeloproliferative neoplasms.
