Mazda North American Sales Decline Amid Mixed Regional Results
Mazda North American Operations reported 34,735 vehicle sales in August, marking an 8.9 percent decline compared to the same period last year. The results, hampered by a shorter selling month, reflect a broader cooling trend as year-to-date figures for the region dropped by 6 percent.
Regional performance varied significantly across the continent. While Mazda Canada saw an 8.2 percent decline with 7,592 units sold, the Mexican division bucked the trend by posting a 17 percent increase, moving 9,258 vehicles during the month. Certified Pre-Owned sales remained largely flat, edging down by 0.7 percent to 7,164 vehicles. Year-to-date, the total North American volume stands at 275,749 units, underscoring a slower pace for the manufacturer compared to its 2025 output.
