Martin Guitar Debuts Podcast Series Exploring Artist Legacies
For nearly two centuries, Martin instruments have anchored the musical journeys of countless songwriters and performers. Now, the Nazareth-based guitar manufacturer is pulling those private histories into the public sphere with the launch of Martin Stories, a new podcast series dedicated to the bond between musicians and their instruments.
The series opened with Kenneth Pattengale of The Milk Carton Kids, who recounted the two-year search for his 1954 Martin 0-15—a guitar that eventually served as the blueprint for his own signature model. Following that, blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa shared insights into his collection, detailing his transition from playing his father's mid-1970s D-35 in a vintage shop to collaborating on instruments modeled after his prized 1937 00-18. Future episodes are slated to feature Don Felder, Brooke Ligertwood, and Eric Johnson, with production handled by Elizabeth Evans Media. The podcast is currently available across all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube.
