Huawei Previews Watch D3 Blood Pressure Tracker at ESC Congress

Building on a decade of health-tech development that began in 2014, the Watch D3 represents the next iteration of Huawei’s wrist-worn ambulatory monitors. Following the original Watch D in 2021 and the D2 in 2024, this new model prioritizes a thinner, lighter profile and improved ergonomics to encourage consistent 24-hour wear. The company aims to position the device as both a medical tool and a lifestyle accessory, offering three nature-inspired colorways.

Technological refinements allow the D3 to maintain measurement accuracy even during physical exertion, tracking blood pressure fluctuations before and after exercise. The device has secured CE MDR certification in the European Union, covering stationary, ambulatory, and exercise-linked monitoring. New environmental triggers have also been integrated, providing alerts for high-altitude conditions and rapid temperature shifts. Beyond cardiovascular health, the watch includes expanded metrics for sleep and emotional well-being, though the company notes that these features remain for reference only and do not replace clinical diagnosis.
