The overhaul arrives as the game approaches its first anniversary, with Season 7 set to launch on September 9. Chief Producer TOSHI and Producer KEN confirmed that the update will introduce "MAX Super Attacks," allowing players to replace existing abilities with more potent options. While the viewpoint will change, the development team intends to preserve the strategic decision-making that defines the 4v4 matches, though win conditions are being simplified to favor a more action-oriented flow.
Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra Shifts to Third-Person for Year-End Overhaul
Bandai Namco is fundamentally restructuring Dragon Ball Gekishin Squadra, moving the game from a top-down perspective to a third-person, over-the-shoulder camera view. Announced during the SQUADRA Talk livestream, the shift aims to heighten the intensity of combat while maintaining the title's core focus on team-based strategy.

Season 7 marks the debut of Super Gogeta, who joins the roster alongside Android 19 as a Technical-role Helper and San-Shinron as a new boss. To celebrate the milestone, Bandai Namco is launching seven campaigns, including a daily giveaway of G-Capsules that grants players up to 140 free opportunities to expand their collections. The studio also plans to rotate the boss lineup every two weeks to keep the competitive environment fresh. Further details regarding the transition of existing player data and item carry-over are expected in the coming months as the project moves toward its end-of-year transformation.
