Dover Precision Components Expands Innovation Lab to Industrial Testing

Testing is not just an option, it's a competitive advantage, according to Burak Bekisli, Director of Innovation at Dover Precision Components. The company is now opening its 12,000-square-foot Houston facility to external original equipment manufacturers and end users to accelerate product development for rotating and reciprocating machinery.

Dover Precision Components Expands Innovation Lab to Industrial Testing

The expansion allows engineers to leverage the company’s flagship laboratory for a variety of critical tasks, ranging from early-stage concept validation to final performance verification. By offering these services, Dover aims to function as an extension of its clients' internal engineering teams, providing access to specialized test rigs designed to replicate complex, real-world operating environments.

Services now available to the market include prototype optimization, failure mode analysis, and accelerated lifecycle testing. The lab also provides sophisticated characterization—covering thermal, mechanical, chemical, and tribological properties—which is increasingly vital for emerging sectors like the hydrogen economy. In these high-pressure environments, the lab’s testing capabilities assist engineers in identifying and mitigating wear challenges before components reach full-scale production.
