Boston-based Teragen Energy has closed an oversubscribed $6 million pre-seed round to transition its solid oxide fuel cell technology from prototype to commercial pilot. The round, co-led by BEVC and Energy Capital Ventures, targets the surging demand for reliable, high-density power solutions in AI and industrial sectors.

Investors are betting on the system's ability to navigate the so-called energy trilemma—balancing decarbonization with reliability and economic viability.
