Waystar Restructures Leadership to Drive Autonomous Revenue Cycle

Waystar is recalibrating its executive suite to prioritize AI-driven automation, appointing Amit Khanna as Chief Product and Technology Officer and promoting 24-year company veteran Todd Woods to Chief Commercial Officer, as the healthcare payment software provider pushes to accelerate the adoption of its autonomous revenue cycle platform.

Khanna joins the Lehi-based firm from Salesforce, where he previously directed global healthcare business and AI strategy, including the development of Agentforce for Health. His background in scaling enterprise platforms at SAP and First Data will now inform Waystar’s product roadmap, specifically focusing on the orchestration of agentic networks and platform innovation. CEO Matt Hawkins noted that Khanna’s arrival is intended to bridge the gap between complex healthcare workflows and intelligent, automated resolution.

Woods, meanwhile, shifts into the Chief Commercial Officer role after overseeing the company’s expansion across ambulatory and enterprise sectors. Having contributed to a commercial model that now supports over one million providers, Woods will focus on deepening client relationships and expanding the footprint of Waystar’s end-to-end payment systems. The leadership alignment signals a strategic pivot toward integrating AI-powered solutions more aggressively across the 7.5 billion transactions the company processes annually.
