Investors Face October Deadline in UWM Holdings Securities Class Action

Investors who purchased UWM Holdings Corporation securities between March 9 and August 5, 2026, face an October 13 deadline to petition the court to serve as lead plaintiff in an ongoing class action lawsuit alleging securities fraud.

Investors Face October Deadline in UWM Holdings Securities Class Action

The litigation, spearheaded by the Rosen Law Firm, centers on allegations that UWM Holdings misled shareholders regarding its risk management strategies. According to the complaint, the company abandoned its long-standing policy of not hedging mortgage servicing rights, instead taking a major hedge position in anticipation of the Two Harbors transaction. The lawsuit claims this maneuver resulted in over-hedging and created significant, undisclosed financial risks for the firm.

Plaintiffs contend that because these hedging activities were not properly disclosed, the company's public statements concerning its operations and financial health lacked a reasonable basis. As these details emerged, shareholders allegedly suffered measurable losses. While the lawsuit is currently active, no class has yet been certified. Investors retain the right to select their own counsel, remain as absent class members, or seek to lead the litigation, with no requirement to pay out-of-pocket fees due to the firm's contingency arrangement.
