The partnership extends well beyond the track. Two days before the race, Ware will visit Daytona Beach to engage directly with those served by the Volusia County nonprofit. His itinerary includes discussions at the Volusia Regional Juvenile Detention Center and meetings with residents currently in recovery. These interactions aim to leverage Ware’s own history of overcoming addiction to provide a tangible message of hope for local families and young adults.
Carson Ware and Foundations to Freedom Partner for Daytona Race
NASCAR driver Carson Ware will carry the branding of Foundations to Freedom on his No. 47 Chevrolet during the Winn-Dixie 250 at Daytona International Speedway on August 28, transforming a high-profile racing sponsorship into a platform for substance use disorder awareness and community recovery efforts.

Volusia County has faced significant challenges with overdose rates, prompting Foundations to Freedom to aggressively expand its services. Since its inception in 2022, the organization has grown to 11 recovery homes and recently secured a state grant to launch a specialized program for young adults. By integrating community work with the national visibility of a NASCAR event, the organization hopes to diminish the stigma surrounding addiction and demonstrate that recovery remains an achievable goal for those struggling.
