After a thirty-year tenure that redefined the digital infrastructure of Simmons Bank, Executive Vice President and Chief Data Officer Lisa Hunter has announced her retirement. A Pine Bluff native, Hunter steered the institution through three decades of technological modernization, from the launch of its first website to advanced data governance.

In 2021, Hunter transitioned into the role of Chief Data Officer, where she established the bank’s Data Office and championed data-driven decision-making. Beyond her corporate responsibilities, she has remained a fixture in Arkansas civic life, serving on the Pine Bluff Community Foundation board and the United Way. In 2022, she was appointed by then-Governor Asa Hutchinson to a seven-year term on the Arkansas State Board of Education, further cementing her commitment to regional development.
