Investors Target UWM Holdings in Securities Fraud Class Action

Investors who purchased UWM Holdings Corporation securities between March 9 and August 5, 2026, face an October 13 deadline to apply as lead plaintiffs in a newly filed class action lawsuit. The litigation alleges the company misled shareholders regarding its mortgage servicing rights and hedging strategies.

The lawsuit, spearheaded by The Rosen Law Firm, claims UWM Holdings abandoned its standard practice of avoiding hedges on mortgage servicing rights. According to the complaint, the firm took on major hedge positions, specifically over-hedging in anticipation of the Two Harbors transaction. These actions allegedly created excess risk that was not disclosed to the market, rendering the company’s public statements about its operations materially misleading.

Investors seeking to participate in the litigation must move the court by October 13, 2026. While the lawsuit has been filed, no class has been certified yet. Shareholders are not required to serve as lead plaintiffs to remain eligible for a potential recovery, though they may choose to retain their own counsel or participate as absent members. The Rosen Law Firm, which has previously secured significant settlements in securities litigation, is managing the case through attorney Phillip Kim.
