The new marker incorporates the company’s most vibrant ink formula, designed to pop on surfaces ranging from traditional whiteboards to glass and acrylic. Beyond the oversized tip, the marker features a wider barrel intended to provide a more comfortable grip for educators. This design shift aims to reduce visual fatigue and assist students with low vision by ensuring that text remains clear regardless of their seating position.
Newell Brands Launches EXPO XL Marker for Enhanced Classroom Visibility
Teachers struggling to make whiteboard lessons legible from the back row now have a larger tool at their disposal. Newell Brands has introduced the EXPO XL, a dry-erase marker featuring a double-width tip engineered to produce lines twice the size of standard chisel-tip versions for improved classroom accessibility.

Kris Malkoski, President of the Learning & Development Segment at Newell Brands, noted that the product addresses the practical barrier of board visibility, allowing students to focus on the lesson content rather than deciphering small writing. The EXPO XL is currently available at Staples and is scheduled for release at Walmart and Amazon in the coming weeks. Pricing for the new line starts at $3.99 for a single marker, with multi-pack options reaching up to $31.99 for a 12-count set.
