Halozyme adds biotech veteran Dannielle Appelhans to board
San Diego-based Halozyme Therapeutics has appointed Dannielle Appelhans to its board of directors, looking to leverage her two decades of experience in global manufacturing and supply chain management as the company scales its drug delivery platforms, including ENHANZE and the newer Hypercon technology.

Before her executive roles, Appelhans built a background in mechanical engineering with degrees from the University of Michigan and MIT. Her appointment comes as Halozyme seeks to bolster its commercial reach, having already licensed its proprietary rHuPH20 enzyme to a wide roster of major pharmaceutical partners. Her transition into this oversight role marks a move to solidify the firm’s technical and operational infrastructure as they pivot toward new biologics delivery standards.
