The Kat Florence Hotel, founded by the eponymous record-breaking gemstone artist, is broadening its footprint in Ontario with the introduction of the Kat Florence Reserve. This 100-acre wilderness sanctuary preserves a section of the Elora Gorge, offering guests guided access to riverfront paths and protected forest lands. The expansion serves as a commitment to conservation, ensuring the landscape remains untouched by corporate development.
Complementing the wilderness experience is the Imperial Jade Manor, an 1870s Italianate Revival residence now available for exclusive stays. The property features high-end amenities, including a custom stone hot bath and the services of Canada’s first Top Chef winner, Dale Mackay, who serves as the in-residence private chef. Beyond the manor, the hotel has integrated museum-grade, seven-figure gemstones directly into the architecture of its original 1848 limestone walls, effectively turning the building into a rotating gallery.
