BD Taps Edwards Lifesciences Veteran as Chief Quality Officer
Gary Sorsher will step into the role of executive vice president and chief quality officer at Becton, Dickinson and Company on September 8. His arrival marks a leadership transition for the medical technology giant as it seeks to maintain rigorous product standards across its expansive global operations.

During his time at BD, Silvestri played a significant role in developing the company’s quality infrastructure. Tom Polen, chairman, CEO and president of BD, credited Sorsher’s practical approach to continuous improvement as a vital asset for the company’s future efforts to elevate its quality standards. The transition comes as the Franklin Lakes-based manufacturer continues to supply medical essentials and connected care solutions to healthcare providers worldwide.
