Pond Lehocky Giordano Expands Legal Footprint to California and New Mexico

Pennsylvania’s largest workers’ compensation firm is pushing into the Western U.S. market, launching a dedicated Lemon Law practice in Orange County, California, and a new workers’ compensation office in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to address systemic shortages in legal representation for injured workers and vehicle owners.

Pond Lehocky Giordano Expands Legal Footprint to California and New Mexico

The expansion, led by civil litigator Kaio Carter in California and veteran attorney Jonathan Elms in New Mexico, marks a significant milestone in the firm’s 2026 growth strategy. After increasing its attorney headcount by more than 50% this year, the firm is moving away from referral models toward building physical infrastructure in regions where legal services are historically underserved.

In New Mexico, the firm aims to fill a void where injured workers were previously forced to rely on state-issued self-help packets. Meanwhile, the California practice targets a 50% year-over-year surge in Lemon Law filings, a trend driven by rapid manufacturing shifts toward electric vehicles. According to internal data, automakers are struggling with reliability issues, with some electric vehicle models reporting significantly higher problem rates than traditional combustion engines. By establishing these hubs, Pond Lehocky seeks to deploy its national resources against corporate legal teams, ensuring that individual consumers and workers have access to consistent trial-ready advocacy.
