Taiwan Weeks 2026 to Showcase Transition into Asian Asset Hub

From November 3 to 13, Taiwan will host its second annual Taiwan Weeks, a ten-day summit designed to transition the nation from a traditional technology powerhouse into a premier Asian Asset Management Center. The event gathers global investors and financial leaders to explore the island's evolving capital market infrastructure.

Financial Supervisory Commission Chairman Jin-lung Peng confirmed the expansion of this year’s program, which builds on the success of the inaugural event that drew 28,000 visitors. The schedule features 12 core events and over 30 sub-sessions, shifting the focus toward artificial intelligence, exchange-traded funds, and financial resilience. Under the theme "From Tech Island to Capital Hub," the summit aims to bridge the gap between Taiwan’s dominant supply chain players and international capital allocators.

The programming includes a major forum in Kaohsiung on November 6 to highlight regional asset management progress, followed by the TiBOOST innovation program on November 10, which connects AI startups with global venture capital. A significant addition to the 2026 calendar is the 25th Annual Conference of the Asian Corporate Governance Association, hosted in Taiwan for the first time. This gathering of governance professionals is intended to bolster the island’s alignment with international regulatory standards. With over 30 major asset managers and banks participating, the summit serves as a primary vehicle for the Financial Supervisory Commission to pitch new market-opening measures to the global financial community.
