The brand’s recent performance marks a continuation of a thirteen-year growth streak. Since 2020, system sales have climbed 64%, while average unit volumes increased by 27%. July proved to be a pivotal month for the company, yielding a 9% surge in same-store sales following the introduction of its oven-based Chicken Flatbreads. This menu diversification marks a departure from the brand's traditional smoothie-only model, a move supported by the company’s decision to provide ovens to franchisees at no equipment cost.
Gavin Felder, President and CFO, attributes the momentum to the company’s alignment with consumer health trends and a business model that emphasizes lower investment costs compared to traditional quick-service competitors. Beyond menu additions, the brand is integrating AI-driven back-of-house technology to maintain operational efficiency despite the increased complexity of a food-inclusive kitchen.
