Global investment firm H.I.G. Capital has acquired London-based Phoenix ME Limited, a move aimed at scaling the engineering provider’s presence in the booming data center and life sciences sectors. Phoenix founder Lee Compton will maintain a stake in the business while Jim Arnold steps in as the new Chairman.
Management continuity remains a priority, with the existing leadership team staying on to drive operations. H.I.G. brings the backing of a $75 billion investment portfolio to support Phoenix’s next phase of development. By integrating H.I.G.’s operational resources with Phoenix’s established track record in high-profile infrastructure projects, the partnership targets a larger footprint in the competitive European engineering landscape.
