Gartner’s latest report highlights the growing necessity for orchestration platforms to unify workload automation and resource provisioning. As enterprises transition from fragmented task management to end-to-end workflow delivery, BMC’s Control-M platform serves as a central hub. It provides the automation fabric required to scale operations across mainframe, cloud, and data environments while maintaining necessary resilience and cost efficiency.

Central to this year’s recognition is BMC’s focus on embedding generative and agentic AI into the orchestration lifecycle. By integrating AI-assisted development tools like Jett and the AI Workflow Creator, the company aims to govern autonomous agents within a secure, business-critical framework. This approach allows organizations to deploy AI agents into production without compromising operational risk or data integrity.

Customer reception remains strong, with Control-M holding an overall rating of 4.5 out of 5 on Gartner Peer Insights, based on 114 reviews as of August 6, 2026. Abhijit Kakhandiki, senior vice president of Digital Business Automation at BMC, stated that the company’s sustained leadership validates its strategy to define the future of enterprise orchestration, particularly as companies move to automate increasingly complex AI-driven data pipelines.
