Diane M. Carbo Honored as Pinnacle Lifetime Member of The Inner Circle

Carbo’s transition from clinical nursing to advocacy followed a personal accident that curtailed her bedside practice. She channeled her background from the West Penn Hospital School of Nursing into the creation of a support model that addresses the logistical and emotional burdens of family caregiving. Her approach centers on four pillars: setting healthy boundaries, securing caregiver compensation, building collaborative care teams, and integrating technology to manage care coordination.

Through her platform, Caregiver Relief LLC, she provides virtual coaching and management services. She also hosts a nationally ranked podcast series and an "Ask the Experts" program designed to help families navigate the complexities of rehabilitation, insurance protocols, and homecare systems. Beyond her independent practice, she serves on the Board of Care Advisors for Lumyn Care and maintains membership with the American Nurses Association. Carbo remains vocal about the necessity of treating caregivers as the "invisible second patient," emphasizing that the sustainability of home-based care depends on protecting the health of the caregiver as much as the recipient.
