Woodforest National Bank Expands Retail Footprint in The Villages
Shoppers at the Wedgewood Lane Walmart in The Villages, Florida, now have access to a second Woodforest National Bank branch. The 650-square-foot facility, which began operations on July 24, marks the bank's 12th location in the state as it deepens its footprint within the massive retirement community.
Julie Mayrant, President and CEO of Woodforest, stated that the move is part of a broader effort to build relationships in the growing community. Brenda Wendt, Executive Vice President of Branch Banking, noted that the decision to open a second site was driven by the favorable reception from local customers. With this addition, the Texas-based institution now manages nearly 740 branches across 17 states.
