The collaboration leverages the operational footprint of Solaris, a firm specializing in distributed power infrastructure, to scale Deployable Energy’s specialized reactor designs. By combining Deployable’s focus on rapid, factory-made nuclear units with the established maintenance and deployment capabilities of Solaris, the companies intend to address the surging demand for reliable, off-grid power in sectors ranging from digital data centers to heavy industry.
Solaris Energy Infrastructure Invests in Microreactor Startup Deployable
Solaris Energy Infrastructure has taken an equity stake in Houston-based Deployable Energy to accelerate the commercial rollout of transportable nuclear microreactors. The partnership, unveiled during Solaris’ second-quarter 2026 update, aims to integrate next-generation modular power into mission-critical industrial and defense markets where traditional energy solutions often falter.

Bobby Gallagher, CEO of Deployable Energy, noted that the alignment with Solaris validates the market’s appetite for resilient, long-duration energy. Bill Zartler, co-CEO of Solaris, cited the startup’s progress toward first criticality and its ability to navigate supply chain bottlenecks as primary drivers for the investment. This move positions Solaris to expand its portfolio beyond traditional generation, securing a foothold in emerging nuclear technology that promises to bypass the limitations of conventional utility infrastructure.
