Beyond audio processing, Bose has refined the physical design, opting for a more adjustable headband aimed at long-term comfort.

Bose is updating its entry-level QuietComfort noise-canceling headphones, bringing high-end spatial audio features to the $359 second-generation model. The refreshed hardware arrives with a redesigned headband and enhanced adaptive noise cancellation, marking a strategic shift to offer premium software capabilities in a more accessible, mid-range package for daily listeners.
Noise cancellation also receives a boost through an upgraded Aware mode. The system now responds more fluidly to erratic environmental shifts, such as sudden traffic noise, by modulating intensity in real time. Preorders for the new model open August 8th, with shipping slated for August 13th. The headphones will be available in five distinct finishes: black, white smoke, eucalyptus green, dewdrop mint, and rosewood mauve.
