ABB Invests in LevelTen Energy to Expand Clean Power Procurement

The collaboration links ABB’s expertise in energy management and microgrids with LevelTen’s expansive network, which has facilitated over 20 GW of clean energy transactions across North America and Europe. By embedding LevelTen’s contracting capabilities into its service portfolio, ABB intends to help commercial and industrial customers navigate the shift from simple annual renewable matching to more complex, 24/7 carbon-free energy strategies.

Stuart Thompson, President of ABB’s Electrification Service division, noted that the partnership fills a critical gap by providing clients with a direct method to secure long-term energy at predictable costs. For LevelTen, the deal offers a gateway into ABB’s global manufacturing and industrial client base, particularly in growth regions like Asia-Pacific. While the specific financial terms of the deal remain undisclosed, the investment was executed through ABB Electrification Ventures, which has now deployed over $110 million across 18 startups since 2021.
