The company’s marine division signed a procurement contract with Hanseatic Global Terminals to provide 26 pieces of port equipment, including six quay cranes and 20 rubber-tired gantry cranes. HGT CEO Dheeraj Bhatia noted the machinery will underpin efforts to scale operations and meet rising cargo volumes. According to Zhou Guoyuan, Chairman of SANY Marine, the deal serves as a key indicator of the firm’s ongoing international growth strategy.
SANY Secures Major Port and Industrial Contracts in Global Expansion
SANY Group has locked in two significant international deals, supplying heavy port machinery to a South American terminal operator and deploying a fleet of electric wheel loaders to Thailand’s largest rice mill. These moves signal a push to cement the manufacturer’s footprint in specialized logistics and industrial sectors.

Simultaneously, the group’s heavy industry arm delivered 40 SW970E electric wheel loaders to a major Thai rice processing facility, where dust-heavy environments and constant, high-intensity shifts demand robust, zero-emission machinery. The client has since expanded the order with an additional 50 SW956E loaders. This equipment is slated to manage material movement across the entire production cycle, from initial processing to final packaging, marking a notable shift toward electrification in Thailand’s high-output rice sector.
