Superior HealthPlan and Centene Foundation Commit $350,000 to Texas Flood Relief
Catastrophic river flooding across the Hill Country and South-Central Texas has prompted a $350,000 relief investment from Superior HealthPlan and the Centene Foundation. The funds are earmarked for five local organizations tasked with providing emergency supplies, health services, and food security to residents in 59 disaster-declared counties.
Financial support will be distributed among the OneStar Foundation, which will channel resources into the Rebuild Texas Fund, alongside the San Antonio Food Bank and Central Texas Food Bank. Additionally, Community Health Development, Inc. and the Frontera Healthcare Network will utilize the funding to restore access to behavioral health services and primary care in rural areas. Local leaders noted that the investment provides a necessary buffer for communities still contending with the long-term effects of previous storm seasons.
