Noodles & Company Targets Busy Parents with Baked Cheese Tortelloni

Nearly two-thirds of American parents report that the mental burden of planning, shopping, and cooking during the back-to-school season makes family dinner a struggle. To alleviate this, Noodles & Company is launching a new Baked Cheese Tortelloni on August 5, aiming to replicate the experience of homemade baked pasta without the labor.

The new menu addition features cheese-filled tortelloni coated in marinara and mozzarella, finished in the oven to achieve a golden, bubbling crust. According to the company, the dish is designed to support families who value shared meals but find themselves increasingly pressed for time. Internal research conducted by Ruder Finn among 1,000 parents indicates that while most families view dinner as a critical time for connection, 66% of parents find themselves mentally preoccupied with to-do lists rather than enjoying the meal.

Dwayne Chambers, interim chief marketing officer at Noodles & Company, noted that the product aims to provide the sensory comfort of a home-baked meal while offering the convenience required by modern weeknight schedules. The rollout joins existing oven-baked offerings like the Baked Chicken Parmesan. As part of a broader push to capture the back-to-school demographic, the brand is incentivizing new users through its loyalty program, offering a free entrée to rewards members after their first qualifying purchase of at least $10.
