Deloitte Launches AI Suite to Automate Internal Audit and Risk Processes
Deloitte has introduced ControlCatalyst.AI, a new suite of AI-powered tools designed to overhaul internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and risk management. By integrating generative and agentic AI, the firm aims to replace manual oversight with automated risk identification and control testing to increase operational efficiency for corporate clients.
Key functions include a regulatory researcher that provides citation-backed insights, automated documentation generation for process flows and risk matrices, and the automation of operating effectiveness testing. Geoffrey Kovesdy, who leads digital controls and automation for U.S. Audit & Assurance, noted that the technology is intended to help specialists move away from repetitive manual tasks to focus on identifying exceptions and high-level strategic conclusions.
